A Living Architecture for Relational and Embodied Change

Develop the relational wisdom, embodied presence, and inner resource to meet yourself, others, and the world with greater clarity, choice, connection, and balance.

We Are Living in a Time That Calls for Something Different

Many of us have spent years attending trainings, reading books, and studying new approaches—gathering knowledge and developing skills.

And yet, learning something and living from what we have learned are not always the same thing. Insight alone doesn’t always change how we relate, live, or practice.

We can talk about presence and still struggle to embody it. We might strive to be grounded and balanced without having the foundational practices to cultivate those qualities within ourselves. We can have years of education and training and still find ourselves in familiar mindsets rather than meeting the moment with the presence and awareness that open us to new possibilities.

Deeper learning happens when thinking is met with awareness, curiosity and engagement, bringing intellectual understanding into relationship with our felt sense and embodied knowing. This goes beyond the usual mind-versus-body debate. It recognizes how these ways of knowing inform and shape one another and cultivates wisdom we can draw on from within, rather than simply recall from training.

And none of this happens in isolation. We are relational by nature. How we understand ourselves, how we communicate, how we respond, and how we make meaning are continually shaped in relationship—with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us. Developing relational capacity is therefore not separate from embodied learning; it is part of it.

Perhaps now, more than ever, we need approaches that bring these dimensions together—offering knowledge and practices while creating the conditions for what we learn to take root, deepen how we know, and become embodied in the way we live, work, and relate.

What is Relational Integrative Somatics

Relational Integrative Somatics (RIS) brings together relational and somatic knowledge, practices, and ways of knowing within a body of teaching and experiential work.

Through teaching, embodied practice, relational exploration, and experiential learning, you’ll engage with concepts, skills, and practices while learning to recognize the patterns, assumptions, strengths, and possibilities that shape your experience.

RIS supports a deeper capacity to notice and discern what is happening within ourselves, with others, and in the space between—expanding the awareness and inner resource available to us in how we listen, communicate, respond, and relate.

Why This Approach Works

RIS engages multiple pathways of learning, bringing teaching, practice, reflection, relationship, and lived experience into an ongoing process. Rather than encountering material once and moving on, you have opportunities to return to it, experience it from different perspectives, and notice how your understanding develops over time.

Practice and reflection allow you to recognize what is already familiar, notice what may have gone unseen, and experiment with different ways of perceiving and responding. Learning alongside others adds another dimension, offering perspectives and feedback that can expand what we are able to see on our own.

This ongoing movement between learning, experience, reflection, and return creates the conditions for integration—allowing what you learn to become increasingly available in how you perceive, choose, and respond.

What is Cultivated in This Training

• Presence, felt sense and a deeper capacity to notice and respond to what is happening within and around us.

• Practical skills and frameworks for exploring relationship, language, somatic awareness, and patterns of perception and response.

• Fundamental somatic practices for regulation, processing, and resourcing.

• Recognizing and exploring relational patterns that can lead us toward performance rather than trust, mutuality, and authentic connection.

• Greater flexibility and confidence in meeting uncertainty and complexity while growing trust in ourselves.

• Integrated learning that balances intellectual understanding with lived experience and practice.

• The capacity to remain present and responsive to others with curiosity and care, making room for their experience in both personal and professional relationships.

More Than Learning

This is a space of becoming.

Engaging this work asks us to meet ourselves with awareness and curiosity—including the places that feel familiar and comfortable, the places where we encounter an edge, and aspects of ourselves we may not yet fully know.

RIS creates the conditions to engage this process with practice, reflection, relational support, and room for discovery. What we encounter becomes part of the learning, inviting us not only to understand something differently, but to notice how it lives within us and influences the ways we meet ourselves and the world.

Over time, what we learn can move beyond something we just understand or recall and become something available to us in how we listen, discern, meet what arises, and live.

This Training is For

RIS is for anyone interested in developing practical skills while deepening their capacity to meet themselves, others, and their experience with greater awareness and choice—whether for their own growth, the work they do with others, or both:

• Therapists
• Leaders
• Practitioners
• Educators
• Parents
• Anyone seeking to deepen their own exploration and growth.

RIS complements existing knowledge, clinical reasoning, and technical skill by supporting the cultivation of presence, relational awareness, felt sense, and curiosity.
Along with offering a body of knowledge, tools, and techniques, RIS is an experiential training where these capacities are developed through practice, reflection, and integration over time. The training deepens awareness of how you perceive, listen, respond, and bring yourself into the room with clients or groups. It supports you in meeting the whole person and honoring the relational dynamic as an integral part of therapeutic, healing, and growth-oriented spaces.
